It's easy to follow trends, but it's easier to follow you heart and instinct for what makes you happy. When I look back on my life so far, it's clear there were signs I gravitated toward design at an early age.
As a child, my father built me a small tree house between two trees. Simple little cottage with a slanted roof. I took scrap pieces of furniture, with the help of friends, who I made build furniture for the "house", and made a table and two bench chairs. I gathered rug scraps for the floor, had a "garden" and rock path. I was 10!
Later, in college, I used a pink blanket as drapes for my freshman college dorm. I twisted and fanned it out, tied with velvet ribbons and had friends begging for me to do their spaces. (I would have died to have one of my chandeliers back then!)
Creating a space that's easy on the budget but full on glamour can be achieved with something I like to call: "Fake it until you make it". Let's take an example of searching for nautical artwork. Finding an old magazine at an antique shop or flea market, can set a fun, polished tone. (And frames at IKEA are really cheap for the look!) I sometimes search the kid's section at Target or Pottery Barn Teen for artwork, because of it's color use, coupled with fun tag lines and meanings. I want my space to be colorful, fun, positive and meaningful. Beige is boring people!
What I love best about our company is that our chandeliers were designed with just that idea in mind. Do they work for kids? Yes! Do they work for adults? Yes! All you really need is a place to hang them.
It's easy to incorporate chic glamour into your life. Start with one of our chandeliers. Trust me, they will bring years of happy. The way they sparkle in the sun, their colors, their whimsical fun nature. I'd love to help you out. I can even do custom orders, so contact me if you want to chat.
